Will my old doorbell wiring work with a smart doorbell?
Usually yes, but smart doorbells need a 16-24V transformer. Old homes sometimes have lower-voltage transformers and need an upgrade ($95).
Can you install a doorbell where there isn’t one?
Yes. Wireless doorbells install anywhere with no wiring at all. Hardwired doorbells that need new wiring are handled too, with the wiring performed by a licensed Utah electrician.
